Program Description

Event Details

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, which has been observed in the U.S. since 1949. During the month of May, The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) joins the national movement to raise awareness about mental health, fight stigma, provide support, educate the public, and advocate for policies that support the millions of people in the U.S. affected by mental illness.

In this presentation by NAMI Will-Grundy you will learn about:

  • the signs and symptoms of anxiety and depression, two of the most common types of mental health disorders
  • how and when to seek treatment and assistance, for yourself or for a loved one
  • resources available through NAMI Will-Grundy, including use of the new Joliet Living Room.

Register online or call the Adult Services at 815-534-6173.
