Program Description

Event Details

Have you been hearing about forest therapy lately? Or maybe you've read about forest bathing and wondered, what could that be like? Here is your chance to learn about this growing practice and the healing benefits of time in nature. Although many countries outside the US have embraced nature as an essential part of daily life, we have become more disconnected from nature over time. In this presentation you will learn what forest therapy is, the benefits of the practice and experience a few sample invitations.

About the Presenter

Jeni Gabrenya is a lifelong nature lover and certified forest therapy guide trained through the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides and Programs. Jeni volunteers with several environmental conservation groups and has spent 25 years in leadership roles with violence prevention organizations. She believes in the healing power of nature which led her to this practice. Her guided walks help people slow down and reconnect with themselves and the natural world. Jeni’s guiding style is playful and opens the door for the healing powers of nature to work their magic.
