Tinkercad is an beginner friendly, browser-based 3D design tool that allows combining shapes, moving/rotating, auto-saving, and exporting to stl for 3D printing and more. We will create a Tinkercad account during class; please make sure you have a working email account and you know your password as we will have limited classtime for password recovery.

Topics covered in this class will include:

  • Creating a new project
  • Workplane overview
  • Using shapes and toolbars
  • Hotkeys
  • Manipulating shapes
  • Grouping, aligning, and subtracting
  • Importing and exporting files

Prerequisites:

  • Participants must know how to operate a keyboard.
  • Participants must know how to operate a mouse or trackpad.

Note: Attendance at this class is required for advanced ScuptGL classes and programs. This class is limited to FPLD cardholders.
