Did you know that you can use your cell phone to capture data and images during the Great North American Solar Eclipse on April 8, 2024? Learn how to use the Globe Observer app to record and share eclipse data as citizen scientists. You will also learn the basics of capturing eclipse images using a cell phone camera and safe solar viewing shields. Participants should bring their cell phone or mobile device to the class.

Prerequisites: 

  • Participants must know how to download and install apps to their device.
  • Participants must know how to take photos and video with their device.
