Have any craft supplies you no longer need or want? Looking for some creative inspiration? Join us for our craft supply swap! Drop off unneeded, but usable, supplies starting Monday, September 11 through Thursday, September 14. On Sunday, September 17, patrons are invited to come and "shop" from the donated items.
HOW:
- New or gently used craft supply donations will be accepted Monday, September 11 through Thursday, September 14 during normal library hours. Please bring your donation to the West End Desk.
- Those who make a donation will receive a ticket for free entry to the event on Sunday, September 17 from 1:00 - 3:30pm.
- For those who want to attend but don’t have a craft donation, we ask that you bring a non-perishable item on the day of the swap that will be given to the Frankfort Township Food Pantry. Suggested pantry donation items include: non-perishable food items, baby formula, diapers, or gift cards to local grocery stores.
- Each craft swap attendee will be limited to two (2) bags of craft supplies. Any remaining craft supplies will be donated to a local organization.
DONATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Items must be new or gently used.
- Items must be clean and free of odors.
- Craft kits must be unopened.
- Liquid materials (paint, glue, ink pads, etc) must be unopened.
- Loose items (beads, stickers) must be placed in closed containers like ziplock bags.
- Please do not mix items (i.e., if donating loose stickers and beads, please put the stickers in one container and beads in a separate container).
SUGGESTED CRAFT SUPPLIES FOR THE SWAP:
- Fabric, sewing/embroidery thread, and notions
- Paper crafting/scrapbooking/rubber stamps
- Adult craft kits (unopened)
- Children’s craft kits (unopened) and supplies
- Jewelry making materials and tools
- Yarn, hooks, needles
- Quilling paper and tools
- Unused Painting supplies: paints, brushes, canvases
