A partial (50%) eclipse will appear in the sky over Illinois on Saturday, October 14, 2023 from approximately 10:30am-1:30pm. Register for one free pair of solar-viewing glasses (one pair per family) beginning Monday, October 9. Supplies are limited.
Please note:
- Glasses will be distributed to Frankfort Public Library Cardholders only.
- One pair per family.
- Registration is required to reserve one free pair of solar-viewing glasses.
- Must be picked up by 5pm on Friday, October 13.
Solar-viewing glasses have been made available courtesy of the Space Science Institute and the Solar Eclipse Activities for Libraries program.
