Learn about the fabulous world of fungi and how to forage wild edible mushrooms in Illinois. In this presentation you will learn:
- Mushroom basics
- Mushrooms through the seasons
- where to find them
- identifying characteristics
- lookalikes, and
- How to keep an eye out for common local edibles.
By the end of this presentation you'll have tools to help you identify several different edible fungal species and a basic understanding of our region’s mushroom terrain.
