Program Description

Event Details

Celebrate Earth Month as we drum earthy rhythms to acknowledge and celebrate our home planet. Learn how to find the rhythm in everyone and everything, including ourselves, the planet, and the plants and animals around us. This drum circle is about relaxing with easy rhythms and based on the Rhythms for Healing (TM) program approved for use in Veterans Administration facilities and by the Yoga Alliance. Each rhythm is taught on the body first at a slow tempo to help learn the rhythm, then taught on the drums.

Drums are provided. Percussion instruments for this program will include some made from recycled and natural materials. You do not need to have your own drum, although if you do, you are welcome to bring it.
