Past, Present and Future- Since humans first gazed towards the heavens, they have dreamed of one day living in space. Join NASA Solar System Ambassador James Joel Knapper as he highlights several of the space stations of fact and fiction; from "The Brick Moon" written by American writer Edward Everett Hale in 1869, to the Soviet military stations, through the Lunar Gateway planned for this decade and beyond!

About the Presenter

A dedicated and active NASA Solar System Ambassador, James “Joel” Knapper has been hooked on NASA and space exploration since grade school. Joel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in English Education from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. Joel is an officer of his local amateur astronomy group, the Kankakee Area Stargazers, where he presents monthly updates on NASA programs. He also hosts many other NASA events in the Chicago area.
