Event Details
April is Teen Service month!
1. Take Make and Decorate project: Book Nooks.
Teens are encouraged to create Book Nooks (see picture) based on their favorite children's book or a place in the community. On April 3rd, teens can come in to work on Book Nooks in the Library all day. They will be used as part of a scavenger hunt this summer.
1 Book Nook is worth 3 hours, maximum of 1.
2. Summer Crafts
Create a craft for the Summer Reading Program! Our theme is "All Together Now" and the focus is on Kindness/Friendship/Unity. Crafts can also be based on new picture books. The craft must be simple to make, use materials that are easy to find, and materials must be able to fit in a paper bag. Include a list of materials and directions along with the craft sample. Come to the Library to see examples of what we've done in the past.
1 craft is worth 1 hour, maximum of 2.
3. Future Teen Take and Makes
Create a craft that other teens can make to earn service hours. Please bring in an example of the craft, instructions and a list of materials needed. The craft can be for any time of year! Come to the Library to see examples of what we've done in the past.
1 craft is worth 1 hour, maximum of 2.
4. Book donations
Teens can donate their High School Required books. The Library has a list of books we need, and we will only accept titles from this list:
