Program Description

Event Details

This 90-minute class will introduce you to the basics of 3D printing using free design software from Tinkercad.  Patrons will create their own keychain design to be printed in glow-in-the-dark filament.

This class will cover the following topics:

  • Overview of 3D printing.
  • Setting up a Tinkercad account.
  • Navigating the design screen.
  • Moving and rotating elements.
  • Aligning and combining elements.
  • Importing and exporting designs.

 

Prerequisites: 

  • Patrons must know how to operate a keyboard. 
  • Patrons must know how to operate a mouse or trackpad. 
  • Patrons must have a valid email address and know their email password.
