Join us to discuss All the Beauty in the World: The Metropolitan Museum of Art and Me by Patrick Bringley and Picture This: How Pictures Work by Molly Bang

Following the loss of his older brother to cancer in 2008, Patrick Bringley left his writing job at the New Yorker and joined the staff of the Metropolitan Museum of Art as a guard. Over the next decade, he had time to reflect on the artworks, the people who came to see them and the institution that cared for and curated them. For bonus reading and discussion, participants are also invited to pick up a copy of Picture This: How Pictures Work by author and illustrator Molly Bang for a fascinating exploration of how visual elements can be combined to effectively convey emotions and ideas.

Copies of the books will be available at the Circulation Desk one month before the meeting date. E-audiobook copies of All the Beauty in the World are available through Libby with your Frankfort library card. Ebook copies of Picture This are available through Hoopla with your Frankfort Library card.
