Join us to discuss Rough Sleepers: Dr. Jim O’Connell’s Urgent Mission to Bring Healing to Homeless People by Tracy Kidder

Upon graduating from medical school in the 1980s, Dr. Jim O’Connell deferred his plans to work in oncology, agreeing to spend one year helping to run Boston’s new Health Care for the Homeless program. The planned year turned into over three decades of work with the program, serving in both a clinic at Massachusetts General Hospital and on a mobile van, seeking out and providing care for the city’s homeless population.

Copies of the book will be available at the Circulation Desk one month before the meeting date.  eBook copies are available through Boundless with your Frankfort Library card.
