Join us to discuss The Art Thief: A True Story of Love, Crime, and a Dangerous Obsession by Michael Finkel

The astonishing story of Stéphane Breitwieser, a young Frenchman who carried out an audacious series of art thefts throughout Europe, stealing more than 300 objects from museums and galleries over a 10 year period. Rather than sell the stolen items, Breitwieser created a private gallery in his bedroom at his mother’s house where he could be near the objects that had captivated him. Finkel offers an astounding portrait of a remarkable crime spree and the obsessions that fueled it.

Copies of the book will be available at the Circulation Desk one month before the meeting date. Ebook copies are available through Libby and Boundless and eAudiobook copies are available through Libby with your Frankfort library card.
